Challenge:

Creating an authentic and engaging way to conduct monthly sales rally meetings, SET is using its state-of-the-art studio format to produce a live/virtual hybrid presentation to approximately 500 associates. The Leadership Team was looking for a training to help them become more comfortable in front of a camera in a live setting. They needed consulting on how to host confidently on camera and to the live in studio audience, speech pace, emphasize their message, use body language and advice on wardrobe.

Solution:

The Sales Rally presenters, made up of Senior Leadership, recorded videos of their rehearsal presentations to send to me. After watching their segments, I gave one-on-one coaching. We watched their videos together, stopping to discuss what they did well and what advice I had to share. I gave them feedback on how to emphasize certain points, how to keep a steady pace, how to use their hands effectively, suggestions on engaging the live and virtual audience, and advice on wardrobe. The clients left the sessions with actionable feedback for successful live presentations.

Media Training for NightCap

IMG_7209_edited_edited.jpg

Client:

NightCap is a physical and psychological deterrent created to prevent pills and powders from being dropped into a drink. It was invented by a 16-year-old who heard about the horrors of drink spiking from her friends in college. NightCap was featured on Shark Tank and struck one of the fastest deals in history.

Challenge:

Interviews and media exposure is important to getting the word out about this company. The creators of NightCap needed training on how to improve their media/communication skills. They needed consulting on how to interview with confidence, how to craft informative and compelling answers and best practices when going into an interview.

Solution:

After watching interviews the creators did with local television stations, I was able to give them one-on-one coaching. I gave them feedback on everything from their body language, to clothing to how they answered the questions. Through a series of practice interviews and discussion we came up with a format for future interviews, which topics each of the two would handle and how to increase their level of energy when giving answers. The client left the training feeling more confident because they knew how to prepare for upcoming interviews.
