Client:
TravelAwaits serves the 50+ traveler by dedicating stories and information to those looking to explore new destinations and experiences. The goal of the site is to share unique, hidden and once-in-a-lifetime locations to those of retirement age.
Challenge:
Florida is home to one of the most popular retirement communities in the country. The Villages ranks as one of the top selling, master planned communities for adults 55 years and over, but TravelAwaits did not have information about it for its readers. The site needed a story about why it is a great place for retired singles.
Solution:
Through a series of interviews and extensive research, I put together an article called “3,000 Reasons The Villages Retirement Community Is A Great Place For Singles.” The topic I came up with is based on the fact there are more than 3,000 activities and social groups to be a part of, hundreds of which are geared toward singles. I gave readers the top 5 activities for singles in the community and links to resources to learn about more and even a way to experience the lifestyle for themselves before deciding to call it home. This lead to a contracted freelance writing position with the company.
Blog for Nursing Queen
Client:
Nursing Queen specializes in stylish nursing clothes for breastfeeding. The company was started In 2017 by Quinn Reitz, a nursing mom, who wanted to see more options for nursing clothes - especially cute, non-clingy styles, that still looked great wash after wash.
Challenge:
Creating content related to breastfeeding is important for this company. Giving the customers resources, knowledge and a sense of community is an important pice of what Nursing Queen is. One way to reach these women is through blog posts. The client was looking for SEO targeted blogs that relate to the company's core niche: breastfeeding.
Solution:
The client and I discussed various topics that could be blog posts each month. She has full trust in my abilities as a writer and researcher to put together informational, engaging and relevant blog posts each month. This is a longstanding, collaborative relationship.
